I’ll bet you’re hearing stories about school districts abandoning 1:1 tablet and iPad programs. In just the last couple of days, we’ve even seen the claim that “BYOD as you know it is dead.” This is clearly an exaggeration. Even that Forbes article, about BYOD being dead, suggests that the future is about smart uses of smart devices in the classroom.
We’re launching this blog with the belief that BYOD and 1:1 is here to stay, and that education will move slowly and deliberately to make good use of them. Teachers are the best judges of what to do in the classroom. Most of them have years’ worth of content that they will still use to teach.
Using your existing presentations with NetClick lets you have a more engaged classroom, with integrated polls, word clouds and analytics, all directed at formative assessment, without having to create new content.
Our research shows that minimal or no changes are needed to make existing slides effectively interactive. After all, it’s easy to ask ‘what don’t you understand?’ or ‘what would you like to talk about further’? and allow your students to click or touch their tablet/laptop/smartphone.
We can’t wait to hear your stories about teaching with NetClick.me.
